چکیده

Simons Collaborative Marine Atlas Project (Simons CMAP) is an open-source data portal that interconnects large, complex, and diverse public sets currently dispersed in different formats across Oceanography discipline-specific databases. CMAP designed to streamline the retrieval of custom subsets data, generation visualizations, analyses thus expanding power these potentially underutilized for cross-disciplinary studies ocean processes. We describe a unified architecture allows numerical model outputs, satellite products, field observations be readily shared, mined, integrated regardless set size or resolution. A current focus integration physical, chemical, biological essential characterizing biogeography key marine microbes basins seasonal cycles. Using practical example, we demonstrate how our unifying harmonization plans significantly simplifies systematic all sets.

NABIC: A New Access Portal to Search, Visualize, and Share Agricultural Genomics Data

The National Agricultural Biotechnology Information Center developed an access portal to search, visualize, and share agricultural genomics data with a focus on South Korean information and resources. The portal features an agricultural biotechnology database containing a wide range of omics data from public and proprietary sources. We collected 28.4 TB of data from 162 agricultural organisms, ...

Simons' Equation Revisited Simons' Equation Revisited

In this paper we establish the generalized Simons' equations satis ed by the second fundamental form of a general immersion Mp ,! Mn. We then specialize these equations to the case of an immersion with constant mean curvature (or parallel mean curvature vector) in a space form.

Simons Variation in Individuals Project (Simons VIP): A Genetics-First Approach to Studying Autism Spectrum and Related Neurodevelopmental Disorders

We describe a project aimed at studying a large number of individuals (>200) with specific recurrent genetic variations (deletion or duplication of segment 16p11.2) that increase the risk of developing autism spectrum (ASD) and other developmental disorders. The genetics-first approach augmented by web-based recruitment, multisite collaboration and calibration, and robust data-sharing policies ...

Reply to Simons and Weerwind.

Our recent article opened a valuable discussion on the safety of miniaturized perfusion systems (MPSs) with respect to the risk of gaseous microemboli (GME) [1, 2]. We would like to comment on this. Although the clinical advantages of MPSs are well known, it is still important to focus on avoiding possible side effects in order to increase patient safety [3]. In our study, we observed excessive...

Using Web3d Technologies to Visualize and Analyze Caesar Data

The CAESAR (Civilian American and European Surface Anthropometry Resource) project completed in 2002 has collected 3D scans of over 5000 subjects. We have created several 3D visualization tools, utilizing the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) to provide 3D access via the Web. In addition to simply viewing the 3D scans we have augmented the display of the body with interactive anthropomet...
